Welcome to my blog!

First, a bit about me -

Yes, it is Dawnlynn - one word.... My last name is Greeney. I come to you from my home church of Ascension in Stillwater, Minnesota. I am in my first year of formation to become a deacon the The Episcopal Church. I live in Hudson, Wisconsin, and have a 20 year old daughter. She is currently in her second year at UW-Oshkosh, majoring in English, History, and minoring in Japanese. And yes, I am an avid Packer's fan!

I am VERY excited to be here! What a warm welcome I have received from you all. I'm surprised I don't see a picture of St. Anne's in the dictionary under the definition of hospitality!

As far as my time with you is concerned, it looks like it is going to be very, very busy. I will be here until the first Sunday of Advent. I will be involved in liturgy (with quite a bit of liturgical standing, as I learn more about my eventual role as a deacon), Outreach (please see below for exciting news), preaching, and education.

Now, for the EXCITING NEWS:

St. Anne's has put together a pantry to assist our fellow faith community members who may be in need!  Many times within a parish there are parishoners in need, and we may not even know it. It can also be very difficult to ask for help. So, in recognition of these facts, St. Anne's now has a pantry of staple items, specifically set aside to reach out directly to those of our own faith community who are in need. We are stocking a cupboard in the St.. Anne's Room with non-perishable, staple foods, plus some basic personal care and home items. If you need help, please take what you need, without going through red tape. If you can, please contribute. Place these items in the clearly marked box in the narthex. There is a list of items we are collecting on the box. Also, to make your shopping easier, please pick up a shopping list. Questions? Speak with me or with Lydia.

Peace,

Dawnlynn
